The brand new A-max has been designed from the ground up to great effect. New high strength materials have resulted in a 10% weight reduction. New running gear allows a widest in class bed of up to 1.96m (6’5”). Modern manufacturing technology is extensively employed increasing efficiency and allowing a level of sophistication previously only available at considerable expense.

There are obvious benefits with a light trailer and a wide bed, however the new features in the A-max are more than skin deep. A brand new ramp loading system promises to change the way this historically elementary operation is regarded, being now faster and easier than a hydraulic tilt-bed. Innovative use of long life materials has created a pull-out ramp that runs as if on rollers.

Particular emphasis has been placed on protection and safety. The A-max is compliant with EEC legislation for protection of pedestrians and cyclists, this also means operators are not exposed to sharp edges. The deck and ramps are lined with a durable high grip surface material, people and cars will not slip. Mudguards are low - with door clearance height of only 16.5cm (6 ½”). An in fill panel adds strength and prevents road dirt getting onto the trailer or the vehicle being towed.

A-max chassis is like the rest of the Brian James Trailers range, hot dip galvanised and covered by a 5 year chassis warranty. All road legal requirements are covered, with 4 wheel automatic reverse (ALKO) brake system and a comprehensive trailer lighting installation. Rubber mounted rear end outline marker lamps are also provided, these being an EEC requirement for any trailer over 2.1m overall width.
