Bateson's current range of van trailers has been developed over many years of experience. The use of the latest technology and materials has resulted in a range offering a smart modern appearance with good aerodynamics, low unladen weight with maximum strength to give the best possible payload, whilst keeping the gross weight to a minimum.

All models have a galvanised steel chassis and internal steel frame with strong lashing rings just above the floor level. The sides are protected inside by hardwood timber load securing rails. The trailers are paneled with high gloss glass fibre plywood laminate one piece side sheets, with 18mm phenol coated non slip floor and a translucent glass fibre roof.

The aerodynamic front is glass fibre with an 18mm ply internal bulkhead which also provides storage pockets for load securing equipment. The front incorporates a spare wheel and carrier an ingenious mirror which allows the trailer hitch and vehicle tow ball to be seen by the driver during coupling, eliminating misalignment and damaged bumpers.

Auto reversing over-run brakes are standard on all models with a cast coupling and integral jockey wheel. Avonride softride axles are fitted as standard giving a smooth ride even when unladen. All trailers except models 120V and 160V have galvanised axles and the mudguards are sealed to the body and have special damage resistant end mouldings. The rear lamps incorporate all functions in one stylish unit and are mounted on the steel brackets wired with a waterproof junction box to a standard type N 7 pin plug.

The rear door can be either the standard roof mounted aluminium roller shutter or optional double side hinged van door with a container type lock or a heavy duty spring assisted full height ramp (allow approximately 50Kg increase in unladen weight.
